Austin Black Pride is asking for donations to assist Black LGBTQIA+ community members impacted by the recent winter storm devastating Texas.
We have set a goal to raise $10,000 to provide direct cash assistance microgrants of up to $250 - for food, utility bills, rent, hotels, and housing solutions, plumbing/flooding repairs, as well as other emergency needs.
We will be hosting a free community cookout in collaboration with Black Trans Leadership of Austin on Saturday, February 20th at 4 pm at Givens Park ( 3811 E 12th St, Austin, TX 78721 ).
Must identify as QTBIPOC(Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, Person of Color)
Must be at least 17 years of age
Must be able to provide photo ID
Must live in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, or Williamson county
Must be able to accept Cash, Check, PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp payments
Have not applied within the last 2-weeks

This fund opens February 21, 2021 at 12 noon and closes on March 15, 2021 or when available funds run out.
Every person who applies is deserving of funds and we will do our best to fulfill all requests as quickly as possible. Please note that there are limitations on what we can disburse digitally so there may be unforeseen delays.
