Austin Black Pride has established a $40,000 COVID-19 Relief Fund to offset the unexpected costs and hardships that have impacted our QTBIPOC (Queer, Transgender, Black, Indigenous, People of Color). 

ABP's COVID-19 Relief Fund will provide up to $400 to QTBIPOC individuals in the Central, TX region. As our commitment is to always center the needs of those beyond the margins, priority will be given to Black trans women and those who have experience as sex workers, formerly incarcerated, and other vulnerable community members. 

Examples of how these grant funds may be used:

  • To purchase groceries

  • To pay back or upcoming rent

  • Medications/Medical Supplies

  • Phone/Internet/Utilities

  • Etc. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Must identify as QTBIPOC(Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, Person of Color)

  • Must be at least 17 years of age

  • Must be able to provide photo ID

  • Must live in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, or Williamson county

  • Must be able to accept PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp payments

  • Have not applied within the last 3-weeks

 

Disbursement Amounts:
- Up to $400 per person via PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp

 

Valid Dates: CURRENTLY CLOSED - WE HAVE RUN OUT OF FUNDING AND ARE WORKING TO REPLENISH 
This fund opens February 10, 2021 at 12 noon and closes on June 1, 2021 or when available funds run out.   

Every person who applies is deserving of funds and we will do our best to fulfill all requests as quickly as possible. You should expect a response to this application within 24-hours of it being submitted.
